Fifth Grade Kindness Retreat

Fifth Graders-

What did you think of the kindness retreat? What did you like? Learn? What about kindness were you reminded of as you listened and discussed with other students?

In the blog, over the next few days, I want you to respond to what you thought and think about making a pledge.... what will you pledge to do, so you can demonstrate that you are a kind person, in what you say, do, and think?

Be honest, yet sincere and respectful!

"Every day, go out of your way to do something kind."

I had a great time at the kindness retreat! One thing I learned, was that you can always smile more each day! Another thing I learned was about Megan's stories. (If you watch a person getting hurt and don't do anything about it, you are just the same amont to blame.)I had a great time at the kindness retreat! How about you guys?

I really liked the kindness retreat because everybody was kind and that made me feel good because nobody was mean. One thing that I learned was that if you throw out kindness it usually comes back to you. I also learned the saying ICI can save the day if I Interupt, Compliment, or Invite away. I hope that everyone had I great time at the kindness retreat and I hope that everyone learned something that they can rember their whole life.

I learned that kindness feels good when at the end everyone said sorry to people it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulder.
I learned three different things
1. If you are kind people will be kind to you!
2. ICI interup, compliment, and invite away.
and 3. There are 3 types of bullies Silent, Physical, and Verble. I Kimberly Nissen pledge to try not to be any of those bullies!

I had a fun time at the Kindness Retreat because there were fun activities that taught me about kindness. One thing I learned was to be kind... it comes back to you. I make a pledge to stand up for anyone who gets bullied because you never know when you might need someone to stand up for up for you. Bullies beware!!!

The kindness retreat was so much fun. It was also very unexpected because I had no idea it would be such a scream fest!!!I think everyone got something out of it and will be more aware the next time they walk away from someone being bullied or be a bully themselves. I will plegde to never walk away from someone in need of help unless it is to big of a job for a little person like me. I hope everyone will do this without having to make a pledge.

That last one is mine.(sorry!)

The Kindness Retreat was an AMAZING experience!! I learned what ICI means-
Iterrupt
Compliment
Invite Away
To show people I'm a kind person, I'm going to treat my siblings like siblings, not my enemies.

Oh, and Emma, you forgot a capital on your "I" :) :) :)

I think that we should keep this in mind our whole lives! Every once in a while we might forget and do something wrong, but thats ok. It was great though because everybody was nice to me and I was nice to them. It will be a great world if we all be kind.

I had a great time at the Kindness Retreat! One thing that I learned was that if people are not being nice to me I have to try to be nice to them because if you aren't nice to them it could cause bigger problems. The second thing I learned was that if you don't be nice to them they won't want to be your friend.

At the kindness retreat I learned that it might take awhile after you throw the boomerang for it to come back to you.

I really enjoyed the kindness retreat because I learned a lot about kindness while having fun. I learned that ICI stands for interupt, compliment, and invite away. I also learned that if you show kindness to people, it will come back to you.

I had so much fun at the kindness retreat! I learned so many things. One thing that I learned is that if someone is bullying another person and you are just standing and watching them, you are also being a bully because you aren't doing anything to help the person that is being bullied.

The kindness retreat was awsome. I learned if you want kindness in return, first you must throw it out to everyone.

I liked the kindness retreat because everyone was nice to each other. I learned that the nicer you are the more friends you tend to have.

One thing that I thought was very important it is kinda a saying it is you should never judge someone by their cover. But my favorite part about kindness retreat was the dance off but it wasn't the most important part of the kindness retreat.
