Dear Fifth Graders, (do not answer until Thursday)
Here is your Second Assignment.
In your opinion, who is someone that you feel "Gives it all they have Got?" Think about Language Arts theme 2 title. Who is someone that works hard, has discipline, is determined, and strives to do their best, no matter what? Please give four or more reasons to support your answer.
Here is an BAD example:
Charles Schultz. Good at comics. Cool writter. I lick his drawings.
Why is this bad a bad example?
This is a bad example because it does not have a topic or conclusion sentence. There are incomplete sentences. There are not four reasons why you believe that he was a person that has given all he's got. There are spelling errors and the author (your name) is not included.
Here is a GOOD example:
Charles Schultz is definitely someone who has given it all he had in his work. He was a dedicated artist. He had a sense of humor in his comics, and it showed! He has numerous characters and made them come to life. He spent many years perfecting his art and was in a variety of different magazines and newspapers. I think that Charles Schultz is a person who showed dedication and determination.

It has a topic and conclusion sentence, four or more reasons, it has been proofread, and it make sense!

I feel that I give it all I got because I try my hardest at gymnasics, dance, school, and everything else I do! I also have a lot of fun doing all my activities. I like doing everything I do because I meet new people and have a lot of friends in them to! Again thank you so much for putting up the blog!!!

I feel that my Aunt Colleen gives it all she's got because she bakes the best stuff! Here are 4 reasons why. 1. She always bakes when she has free time, not to mention she never makes a bad batch. 2. She gives some cookies or whatever she makes to relatives or friends. 3. She sometimes uses her talents to teach my brother Danny and me how to make treats.[ Cookeis, brownies, cinnamon buns, and more]! 4.Lastly, she does not brag about how good her treats are, but she's to nice to do that!!!!! That is why I think my Aunt gives it all she's got!

I think that Hounus Wagner gave it all he got. One reason was because he fought smoking and drinking. My second reason is that he played his best and he has the most valubale baseball card in the world.My third reason is his family was very poor and he helped them all the time.(Most of his family was dead.) So that is why I think Hounus Wagner gave it all he got since he helped his very poor family

I think that my sister is a person who has given it all she's got. She tries to be the best student she can be. She just started playing the violin one year ago. Now she is in the advanced group. She only started learning Spanish two years ago and she is already getting perfect scores in all the tests. She did not use to be too confident about math. But she worked really hard at math and is now on the math team in Valley View. Thanks to all her hard work, she is now getting A in all of her classes. This shows that hard work pays off.

I feel I give it all I got because I try hard in football,band,school,and I always try to do my best on my homework(even though I often end up with a TON of it.)That is why I think I give it all I got.

I think that I give it all I got at soccor and school, same with everything else I do. As you can see I'm very social, so I do alot of social activities, and I also get to do it with my friends. A spelling test I study extra hard I don't know why but I do. So thats why I think I give it all I got

I feel like Jackie Robinson gave it all he got. I pick Jackie because of many reasons. One reason is that I like baseball. Another reason is that he was the first african-american to play the game! That sounds hard. You would have to fight for a lot rights. My final reason is when he was playing, he also had to take care of his family.

I think my mom gives it all she's got. I have a few reasons why. No matter how busy she is, shes always listens to me and tries to help me. My mom does most of the things to keep our house running,but can always find time to spend with me. But the most important reason is that she loves me A LOT!!

he's got to write children's books. He loved picture books ever since he was a child and he also liked writing. He always found any kind of animal story interesting. He dedicates a lot of his time to find ideas for the other books. He has a lot of determination to finish

I think Brett Favre is the best quarterback in the world!!!!!!!!!!! You can hear him call the plays from the stands if you're quiet. Brett set a new record for touchdown passes, 421 against the Vikings. He practices all year and always finishes strong. He is really tough and always gets up after hard tackles. This is why I admire Brett. Brett Favre, I salute you!

I think that Martin Luther King is a person who gave all he had. The first reason is because he wanted everyone to be together. He helped the schools not be divided. He also helped the kids by telling them to play and be with everyone. I think that Martin Luther King was important because he let us all be togther.

I have alot of really great winter memories. I am going to tell you abot my favorite one. I was riding in my sled and my dad asked me if I wanted him to tow the sled behind the car. I said sure so he took a long rope and attached it to the back of the car and to the sled. Then he started driving and I was going as fast as lightening streaked across the sky. It was sooooooooo much fun expecily when you went over a bump in the road and you went airborn. That was the most recent, fun winter memory.
